It’s been while making personal photographs and when working on self-generated photography projects where I have found my true self as a photographer. Realizing this, I went back into my archives to find personal images I began making since I was a teen. I also edited work from some recent personal projects to show on this site as well.

When I looked at all these photographs together I thought I should really write something to try to explain the context and history behind why I made these images. What I discovered in the process is that these images probably say a lot of my generation.

This site is at once a self-curatorial online photography gallery and also a means to promote my work to people who might want to collect my photographs or commission me to make new photographs.

Straight documentary photography is one of those genres in the art world that hasn’t received a lot of respect but hopefully that is changing. When I began photography not that long ago there were still people that said photography isn’t an art either.

Welcome to My New Website

Welcome to my redesigned website. I’ve been working with Jet A Studio on this site for nearly a year.

I designed my first website back in 2002. Back then, I picked up a couple books on html and Photoshop and went to work. However, making a really good website that’s easy to navigate takes a lot of work and talent … not to mention some awesome design skills.
